What it it? Mesotherapy is a form of biopuncture (injection therapy) into the mesoderm or middle layer of the skin.
What to Expect? Multiple injections containing homeopathics and nutrients under the skin and/or into affected muscle groups. Treatments last approx. 30 minutes. Initially weekly treatments for 3-4 weeks are recommended. Commonly, patients will notice improvements in range of motion and symptoms after 1-3 treatments.
Do I need a referral? You don’t need a referral for mesotherapy, although your other health care practitioner may have recommended it to speed up your healing (ie. chiropractor, physiotherapist or massage therapist).
Conditions that May Benefit from Mesotherapy and Biopuncture
Injection therapies can benefit chronic pain conditions such as arthritis, degenerative disk disease and neuropathic (nerve) pain. It can also speed healing and recovery for more acute injuries such as sprains, strains and muscle trigger points and muscle spasms.
